INDEX AUTHORS A-K AUTHORS L-Z UPDATES FAQ LINKS
Q: Did you steal the name of this archive from Terry Pratchett?
A: Yes and no. My friend Yasmin suggested the title, and I thought it was a neat idea. Technically I'm only receiving stolen goods ...
Q: What kind of fanfiction do you have?
A: All sorts of stories based on X-Men: The Movie and its sequels. I consider myself reasonably open to all characters, pairings, ratings and genres although naturally I like some better than others. I archive het, slash, gen and all points between.
Q: What kind of fanfiction don't you have?
Unfinished stories, be they WIPs or unfinished permanantly. (I will sometimes archive unfinished series. Because I'm fickle that way.) There are no stories based on the original comics, the Ultimate universe, the old animated series or Evolution. That's not because I don't like those versions of canon - I've written about most of them myself - but because I saw a niche for a selective archive of movieverse stories.
Q: What do I have to do to get archived here?
A: Don't call me, I'll call you. This is a collection of X-Men movieverse stories that I enjoyed a lot and wished to share with the world. It does not take submissions. Sending me your story with a request to archive it will only annoy me by proving that you didn't read this page first.
Q: But I want people to read my story! Where should I send it?
A: The biggest mailing list for X-Men fanfiction set specifically in the movie universe is located here. They have a livejournal community here If you'd prefer a more specific type of list or livejournal community, many other possibilities are listed on the links page of this very site.
Q: About that links page - you missed something important.
A: Ooops. The exception to the 'no submissions' rule is the links page. If you've written a reasonable number of movieverse stories and have a home page for them, or know an archive, list or recs page I left out, please alert me to the oversight and I'll fix it.
Q: For the sake of argument, let's say that you wanted to archive my story. Can I get you to link to it on my personal site instead?
A: Absolutely. If you want to keep all your work in one place, I'll be more than happy to comply and link to it instead of keeping a copy here.
Q: What if I have a question that you haven't answered?
A: Drop me a line here. I'll get back to you.
